Sri Lanka Attacks

On Saturday April 21, 2019, the calm of Easter Sunday was shattered by the gruesome bombings that killed at least 290 and injured more than 500 people in Sri Lankan churches and hotels, resulting the country of 21 million people went on lock-down.
Seven members of the radical extremist group National Thowfeek Jamaath committed this heinous act by exploding eight sites in the cities of Colombo, Batticaloa, Negombo, Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia and Dematagoda of the South Asian island nation. We believe that these perpetrators are deranged elements and the enemies of humanity
WNYMuslims condemns such hateful acts. We believe that every life is precious, irrespective of their religion and its followers as The Noble Quran says, “…if anyone slew a human… it would be as if he slew the whole humanity: and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the whole humanity” [Al-Qur’an 5:32].
WNYMuslims is standing side by side with our Christian brethren and other ethnicities in these crucial moments. As the Bible quotes. “….be patient in your troubles and pray at all times. (Romans 12:12). We pray to God to bless the suffering community with patience and peace to bear this irreparable loss. We standby them and are praying for the victims.
